‘State of the Court’ Address Planned for October 11 Meeting

13th Circuit Presiding Judge Kevin Crane will deliver the ‘State of the Court’ address at the next regular BCBA meeting at lunchtime on Wednesday, October 11. Judge Crane will speak about current and anticipated court programs, the 13th Circuit budget, civil and criminal caseloads, the anticipated appointments of attorneys for criminal defense, and other topics of interest to the 13th Circuit. The program will approved for 1.2 hours CLE credit.

Lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. the Broadway Hotel, 1111 E. Broadway. The presentation will begin about noon. A business meeting, including a vote on amendments to the by-law will precede the program. Lunch will be $14, with checks made out to BCBA. There is metered parking available in the covered lot next to the hotel.

RSVP: To keep the lunch price at $14 at the new venue, the BCBA must guarantee a minimum number of attendees by 4:00 p.m. the Friday preceding the meeting. If you RSVP for the lunch and do not attend, you will be expected to pay the ticket price anyway because the BCBA will have be charged based on the number of reservations.
