The 2019 Bench-Bar Social was a huge success. Despite the uncooperative weather, the event had its strongest attendance in many years! The goal to promote camaraderie amongst those involved in the legal profession was certainly achieved the evening of April 25 and will surely continue.
The Bench-Bar Social was held in the Montminy Art Gallery of the Boone County History & Culture Center. Cocktail sandwiches, dips and appetizers were provided by bleu events catering. If you didn’t get a chance to look through the galleries in the History & Culture Center, you should return to do so; the Boone County Portraits 1886-1940 is particularly interesting. The exhibits are open Wednesday to Saturday, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm, and Sunday, 12:00 pm – 4:30 pm.
Everyone seemed to have a wonderful time. The Bench-Bar Social provided an opportunity for lawyers, judges and courthouse personnel to socialize in a relaxed setting. BCBA members were joined by judges Kevin Crane, Jeff Harris, Christine Carpenter, Brouck Jacobs, Leslie Schneider, Kimberly Shaw, Tracy Gonzalez, Stephanie Morrell, Gary Oxenhandler (ret.), Cavanaugh Noce, Willie Epps, Ted Ardini, and Brent Powell, as well as several dedicated personnel from the Boone County Courthouse.
